Schools Health Safety and Paediatric First Aid

The National Education Union (NEU) and the Department for Education and Employment (DfEE) guidelines include specific guidance on first aid provision which we can help you to comply with your obligations.

QHSEI are experienced in supporting schools including special needs schools in respect to general health and safety matters and OFQUAL requirements/other regulators and can provide ongoing support through a tailor-made retained service package or on an ad-hoc basis.

Additionally, we provide paediatric first aid Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid and Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (2 days) This two-day qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We can deliver the courses at your premises “why not arrange the training in conjunction with other local schools to cut the cost?” (maximum of 12 persons per course).

Furthermore, the course duration can be tailored to cause minimum disruption to your staff, for example, a 3-day first aid at work course can be carried out over 6 half days within a maximum 10-week period.

Our trainers and health and safety consultant are DBS cleared.

As part of our “Giving Back” QHSE-Interspect will donate £50.00 to the NSPCC for every school retained service package received
